| Keyword Bandwidth Analysis
is the process of understanding the overall popularity of keywords
and phrases (for your particular audience), before they are considered
useful for your site.
How we approach it
We first identify your target audience and then
research the kinds of keywords and phrases that they would use to
find a site like yours.
Once we have our candidate list of keywords and
phrases, we analyse them to see how many existing sites react to
each keyword or phrase - that gives us an idea of the size of your
keyword "competition".
We next work out how popular the keyword or phrase
is across the search engines.
Judging the suitability
Once we have an idea of the competition and the popularity of the keywords, we can make a judgement about the effectiveness of the keyword. |
For example:
The keyword "XQXXTY" is not used by many
websites, so there is little competition - which is good.
However, since no one searches for "XQXXTY",
there is little point using it.
The aim
The aim is therefore to find keywords which are
often searched for, and which are not used by many websites, and
which are relevant to your website.
